Getting Information About Spouse’s Account

How can I find out if my spouse has accounts that I don't know about and am I entitled by law to know about?

Untitled

The first thing to do is to ask your spouse. Banks can't answer your question unless they are compelled to do so under a court order or subpoena. Getting either of those documents could require you to take legal steps you may not be willing to take.

We are not aware of any state law that would give you the right to get information on your spouse's accounts in any other way. You'll have to ask someone -- probably an attorney -- conversant in your state's laws for further information on that question.
