Three Joint Owners, One in Trouble

I have an account that includes my husband, myself and my sister as joint owners. If there is a judgement against my husband, and they attempt to garnish out of this account, are they allowed, since my sister is also a joint owner?

Untitled

Yes. As long as the judgment debtor is an owner of the account with access to the funds, a judgment execution or garnishment would reach funds in the account. Unless there is an obscure state law, the family relationship, or lack of one, between joint account owners is irrelevant.
