As executor of my aunt's estate, I closed her accounts about three years ago. Recently, a bank she was dealing with before she passed, asked if she was deceased. I called and said she was. What should I do? I live in VA and the account is in OH. I want the account closed and everything sent to me. Is this possible?

It's possible, but may take some extra effort.
Contact the Ohio bank and explain that you have already closed out your aunt's estate, and ask how to proceed. You may need to ask the court that handled the estate to allow the estate to be temporarily reopened to facilitate this one transaction. In that case, the court will issue you a current appointment as executor, which you can use to close things out in Ohio and negotiate the check that you'll receive payable to the estate.
