I know that if a cash withdrawal is larger than $10,000 the bank is required by law to complete a Currency Transaction Report. However, what is not clear is, is that per transaction, per month, per year. If I had $50,000 in my checking account and wanted to withdraw it as cash, could I do five separate transactions in one day, or would I need to do them over a period of time?

If your goal is to avoid having a Currency Transaction Report filed, beware. Planning transactions specifically to avoid the filing is a federal felony called "structuring."
