Can Bank Force Someone to be a Customer?

Does a bank have the authority to force me to close an account at another bank and place all my accounts in theirs?


Not really, however, particularly with respect to some types of business accounts, a bank might reasonably insist that, if you wish to do business with them, you'll have to consolidate your accounts into that bank. In other words, "we want all or none of your business."
