Asking to Close Account for Nine Years

I have requested for nine years to have my bank send the necessary paperwork to close my account. They are in CA; we moved overseas. How do I get this account closed?

There is no requirement that a bank reveal this. This is a question for your bank. In many cases, a letter signed by at least one account owner, requesting that the account be closed and a cashier's check sent for the balance is sufficient. If your bank requires more, demand this from them. There are no federal specifications pertaining to this.
