Closing an Account as an Agent

I am an agent on my parents' account. Can I close their checking account?

Untitled

If the person or person who authorized you to act as agent (authorized signer or attorney-in-fact) on the account is still alive, and your authority has not been canceled, you are authorized to close the account. The Uniform Commercial Code gives that authority to any signer on the account.
