Accounts Requiring Dual Signatures

Here is the situation. My two brothers want to open an account. We would like to require both of their signatures in order for money to be withdrawn from the account. Are there any checking or savings accounts that require two signatures to have access to the money?

A few banks may provide this service, but the number of banks that do so is dwindling. Try calling around to some of the banks in your area to see whether any of them offers to open such an account.

You may find that a bank will open what appears to be a two-signatures-required account, but includes in its deposit contract language that absolves the bank from liability if only one signature is used. Be sure that you ask about this if the second signature is critical to you and your brothers. It's more likely to find savings accounts available with a two-signatures-required feature than checking accounts.
