Looking for old account numbers could be difficult if you've done a good job of shredding old statements and checks. Hopefully, if you have any of these items they'll be in a safe deposit box or home safe, but if you're looking for old accounts, call the institution and ask. They should be able to do an alpha search on the account holder's name. They should then ask some probing questions to verify your identity. I assume you are the owner or a trustee now managing the account. If the latter is true, you'll need documentation to prove this.
