Updating Accounts after a Corporate Name Change

I have a question about changing accounts. The church I work for has officially changed names. All of our accounts are still in the old name. What is the procedure to change names? Would I just open a new account?

If the church is incorporated (many religious entities are, and they don't have to include any indication in their legal names), and has filed a change of name with the state, it's likely that you will only need to present a copy of the name change registration to the bank, and they will take it from there.
