Opening Account without Residency

Can I open a an account in America and transfer money into it from England when I am only a resident in England?

It is possible for foreign nationals to open a bank account in the U.S., but finding a bank that accepts such accounts can be challenging. Contact a bank with experience dealing with foreign individuals. There are a number of U.S. banks with offices in England, and those would be the first places to look for this kind of account. Depending on your needs, you may be able to open a dollar-denominated account in a U.S. bank branch in England, and access the account at U.S. offices when you visit here.
