If my bank processes a transaction using a debit card to what ends up being an online gambling site, what should I do? Even if it is authorized, aren't I entitled to my money as the gambling sites are using third parties to hide the nature of the transactions? If I dispute the charge and win, will the bank get the money back? How does it work? Many times I have seen some of these sites simply conduct unauthorized transactions once they have your financial information.

If you authorized a transaction, your bank would deny any claim that it was unauthorized. However, if you believe that a particular transaction or group of transactions on your statement was not authorized, you have every right to make a claim with the bank. Your rights are independent of whether the bank is able to recover funds.
