Some banks and credit unions belong to ATM networks that permit exactly what you would like to do. That feature appeals particularly to smaller institutions with few ATMs of their own and a customer base that could benefit from the added service.
You'll need to ask your bank whether you can make deposits at other ATMs, and, if the answer is yes, get a list of the ATMs where that service is available. As noted, not all banks participate, and networks that have the feature often allow their member banks to decide whether to offer the service at their machines.
