Lost ATM Card

I can't find my ATM card. I think I left it at the supermarket when I bought groceries. I'm afraid I could be out a lot of money because I had my PIN number written on the back of the card. What should I do?

Call your bank right away! Tell them you've lost the card, so they can block any further activity. Then work with the bank to identify any transactions that may have been done with the card after you lost it. They should help you file a claim for reimbursement. The sooner you notify the bank, the more of your money you'll get back.

As you've found it, it's a really bad idea to write your personal identification number on a card. Don't carry your card with you in case your wallet is lost or stolen, but the fact that the PIN was on the back of the card you lost should not affect your reimbursement.
