How Safe are CDARs Now?

In light of recent bank failures and daily bad news about the banking industry, how safe an investment are CDARs when investing in excess of 100K in a bank?

The beauty of the CDARS program is that your deposit is shared by a number of insured institutions. There is a separate insurance limit applied to your deposits in each institution. As long as you don't have other deposits in any of those institutions that would bring your total deposits there above the current insurance coverage limit ($100,000 per depositor per institution), you should be covered just as if you had actually done the work to deposit directly with each bank.
