I have a small business and no business account because of my credit. My clients will only make checks out to my business, so I have checks made to my business and no business account, where can I go to cash these checks for my business?
If you operate a business that will receive checks from its customers, you almost certainly must have a bank account for the business, because it's almost impossible to cash checks payable to a business without using the expensive services of a check cashing business, and some of those businesses won't cash checks payable to a business, either. If you can't open a checking account for yourself or for your business, that may limit your business somewhat, but at least you wouldn't be accepting what could become useless pieces of paper.
Not every bank is concerned with credit history when opening deposit accounts. You may be able to find one that will accept your account. Just be aware that if checks you deposit start bouncing or if you overdraw the account, the bank will probably act quickly to close the account.
