Wachovia bank recently charged me for making cash deposits to an account. Is it the norm, to be charged for cash deposits? Two of those deposits were for $5000, the other for $7000.
Banks are generally free to establish their own schedule of charges. Your bank should have provided you with a schedule of its fees. You can always ask for a current schedule. Charging for cash deposits is not something unknown. It's a fee that is normally reserved for business accounts with heavier cash deposit requirements.
