I had a customer bounce a couple of checks. To clear it up, she wired the money directly to my account, but the risk department froze it. They said that it would be mailing me a check for the funds in the account in ten business days. Is there any way of getting them to release my money and close my account?

Two weeks is a long time for a small business to have its funds tied up. Try contacting the risk department or the manager of your branch to ask if the bank might reconsider its decision to close your account based on the third party's bad checks. If that is unsuccessful, ask if at least some of the funds in your account could be released to you sooner, so that you can keep your business open. In the meantime, establish an account with another bank, so that you can transition smoothly into a new banking relationship.
