Overdrawn Business Account: Federal Offense?

I have an overdrawn business checking account to the tune of $17,000. Can the bank file federal charges against me?

Untitled

Possibly yes, although overdrawn accounts are usually handled at the state level. If an insured bank believes that fraud might be involved in an overdraft, it can pursue a federal charge.
