Liabilities for an Authorized Signer

I was put on an existing business account as an authorized signer if the owner is away. I seldom ever sign a check. If the account bounces a check or whatever, would I be held liable for the debt? I have worked here for fifteen years, but just recently been put on for convenience. I want no liability for what has nothing to do with me.

As an authorized signer only, you incur no personal responsibility for the account or activity in it, as long as your use of the account is limited to acting on behalf of the business.
