Can Convicted Felon open a Joint Account?

If someone was convicted of embezzlement many years ago, will this effect opening a joint business banking account with this person?

It might, and it might not. It's a policy decision of the individual bank, and certainly could be influenced by whether or not the bank was aware of the felony record.
