Bank Suddenly Refuses My Deposits: Why?

I've had a business account into which I have been depositing endorsed and signed checks for several years. Now suddenly, the bank is refusing to accept deposits that are made out in my name, endorsed and stamped by my company for deposit. This does not make sense. Has something changed in the new regulations for banking?

Your bank appears to prefer that you deposit checks payable to you into an account in your name, and write a check from that account to the business if you want the funds deposited there. If your business is a sole proprietorship, it shouldn't matter to the bank that you're depositing checks payable to you as an individual, but the bank is able to refuse any check for deposit. If you have customers who are making payments to your business by check payable to you, you are in a position to ask them to make them payable to the business, instead.
