I wrote to you back in March regarding a tax lien against our former partnership that was paid from our corporate account. I have since written to the bank on two different occasions and specifically asked for someone to contact us with an explanation of their official policy regarding this matter. We have gotten no response at all. What should we do next?
Try escalating your inquiry a bit. Write another letter, this time to the bank's chief executive officer (get the correct name and address from a bank employee or your bank's website), and enclose copies of your earlier inquiries. Ask the CEO to provide a response or to direct someone else to do so. Candidly, the bank may not have an "official policy" for handling tax levies, but your letter to the CEO might be a catalyst for improvement on that score.
