Cannot Open New Business Checking Account

I tried to open a new business checking account under a new corporation. I have an unpaid loan with another bank under an old corporation business loan. The new bank said there was some kind of a block or list put out by first bank and I could not open a new checking account. I don't understand.

It appears that you had personal liability on the old loan, and when the loan didn't get paid off, the lender reported that fact to the credit bureau. That report has apparently followed you, as it is supposed to. The new bank must have obtained a credit report on you in connection with your request to open the new business account, and didn't like what it saw.
