I cashed out a CD at its maturity and now need to get paper work saying that I did this. The bank is telling me that they no longer have the information, because it was so long ago and the CD was cashed out, and therefore closed to them. What can I do?
How long ago did you cash out the account? Banks should keep records of such transactions for five years or longer.
