I had a jointCD with my sister. I cashed it out early and received a cashier's check. Is there any recourse my sister can take with the bank to stop this transaction after the CD was cashed and closed? I live in Maryland.
No, there is not. Unless the deposit contract specifically called for both owners to sign for a withdrawal, you had the right to close the account early, just as your sister did. If your sister has a complaint, it is with you, not with the bank.
