New Account...No, I Want the Old One

I closed my account out in order to open a new one at a new bank, then changed my mind. Can the old bank reopen the closed account?

Depending on how long ago it was closed and what the circumstances are, it may be possible. That doesn't mean your bank would, only that it could be done. There would likely be costs involved as the account would need to be re-programmed and this will take time. Because this is an unusual request, rather than seize an opportunity to fail, they may say their policy forbids it. If the account was closed for any potential involvement in fraud, i.e., a lost checkbook, debit card, identity theft, response to a phishing attack, etc., doing this would not be recommended and your bank may resist as well.
