Can Creditor Remove Money from my Account?

If I open a checking account with my son, can someone that I owe money to take money from that account since it is in both names?

Untitled

If the account is jointly owned, and one of your creditors sues in court to recover money you owe, the creditor may be able to use an attachment or garnishment process approved by the courts to remove funds from the account and have them held pending the outcome of the court case.
