Who Endorses Checks in a Joint Account

My husband and I have a joint checking account. If a check comes to my husband, can I sign and deposit it, or does he have to sign it?

If your husband gives you the OK to place his endorsement on the check, you can do so. Your bank account agreement may include language that specifically allows you to endorse checks for him and vice versa. Your bank can allow you, if its policy allows it, to simply deposit the check without your husband's endorsement.
