If you have a judgment against you, can the creditor freeze your checking account?
Untitled
The creditor has the right to ask for an attachment of your property, including a depositaccount, if you fail to satisfy the judgment directly. The attachment would have the effect of denying you access to the funds attached, and ultimately, the funds would be paid in to the court in satisfaction of the judgment.
