I opened an account and it has been just over thirty days since then. Can I deposit a check and get next day funds available if the check is out of state and my account was negative by $8.00 once during the 30 day period? If I deposit my check, do I have to wait for funds if its been past thirty days? With the negative balance, I'm thinking they won't give me next day availablility on an out-of-state deposit. When can I count on next day availablitlity? Can you give me a tip on how to speed that process up? I dont like waiting, and the check cannot be covered by funds in bank, its like $2000.00.

You should be asking this of your bank, which sets its own policies on availability of deposited funds within regulatory limits. Your bank's funds availability disclosure, which should have been given to you when you opened the account, will tell you what the bank's normal availability policies are. Your single minor overdraft in the first month, should not affect how the bank applies its policy to you. If the bank indicates that it may occasionally delay availability on some deposits, you will have to ask specifically about the check you want to deposit.
