Does Bank Statement Specify Direct Deposits?

Will a bank statement identify that the employer made a direct deposit to an account?

Untitled

Yes, it should, assuming that the direct deposit is made via the ACH (Automated Clearing House) system. When payments are received in that way, a description should appear with the credit amount on the statement, indicating who made the payment.

If, however, the direct deposit was made by check deposit, it would not appear any different from any other deposit made to the account, with the only unique things being the dollar amount and the date. Usually, direct deposit is understood to mean a deposit made electronically, via the ACH.
