Early Tuesday morning (July 7th), my bank's online website showed that I had available funds of $152.73 ($0.77 balance plus a deposit of $200.00 and minus a debit of $48.04). I made four purchases throughout the day that totaled only $103.46. When I got home in the evening, I saw that their website now had me with a negative balance, and there were three NSF charges of $35.00 each. They moved my deposit of $200.00 behind my purchases for that day. The order of my deposits and purchases is all screwed up now. What can I do to make my bank correct this?

Your deposit agreement with the bank may indicate the posting order of items, deposits before checks/withdrawals, large items before small, etc., or it could be silent to the issue. All you can do is ask the bank what their order is, and if they followed that process with you. If they did what they said they would, you have no complaint against them. If they didn't follow their normal process, you may ask them to calculate where you would be had they done it, and to put you there. If you don't like their procedure, you may need to find a bank that operates differently.
