I deposited a check from my IRA into my personal checking account, only to find the next day that my entire account was frozen instead of just the deposit. This caused NSF charges that were waived after the error was brought to the bank's attention. How will that affect my good credit standing? Also is there anything in writing I can get from my bank to explain that I did nothing wrong?

Unless the bank bounced checks as a result of its error, there should be no fall out affecting your credit standing. You might check to make sure the bank has zeroed out any overdraft counter or flag that may have been set by the system.
