Beneficiary for Checking Account?

Can a checking account have a beneficiary?


Although it's not done as often as naming a beneficiary for a savings account or certificate of deposit, there is nothing to prevent you from naming a beneficiary (or Pay on Death payee, in some states) for your individual deposit account, regardless its type.
