Finding the Bank Where I Owe Fees

My husband recently started a new business. He needs to open a checking account, but owes fees to a bank from a previous account. He can't remember the name of this bank. Is there any resource that he can use to locate this bank?

Not really. He can contact a bank and ask if he has a balance owed to them. He can also check his credit report and see if there is an outstanding debt. The bank may or may not have reported it to them, however. If he opens an account, it is very possible that information on the new account is compared against a list of people who have outstanding debts and any deposit made to the new account would be immediately taken and applied against the old debt. This is all computerized.
