I'm a non-US citizen currently working in the US. Will I be able to keep the bank accounts I have opened here when I permanently move back to my home country?
In most cases a bank will not terminate a relationship when a depositor moves. The question would be, why maintain the account? If it is there because you have deposits such as from tenants, you return frequently, etc., there is certainly justification.
The bank may, however, see no reason to continue the relationship. It could be deemed as high risk when there are a lot of funds in and out of the account and the owner has no ties to the area or to otherwise use that bank.
The bottom line is that each bank will determine the criteria they use to obtain and retain customers. Ask them, and more importantly, see if you can find a bank that has international branches so that you could be serviced "locally" wherever you are.
