There is a lien against my kids' mother's account, but it is not my account. What do we do?
The owner of the account should contact the bank to find out what form of lien or attachment affects the account, and by whom it was placed. She should then contact the party that filed the lien or attachment to get details. The bank will only deal with the account holder, so if you go along, it will have to be only for moral support.
