Replacing a Lost Moneygram

I purchased a Moneygram to use as a downpayment on a new car. The dealer has lost the check. Am I legally obligated to replace it?

Contact the location where the Moneygram was purchased to ask who needs to take action and how. If you were discussing a bank's official check, there is a way you could proceed, but Moneygrams will be subject to whatever procedures and policies their issuers impose.
