Opening New Account with Bad Credit

I had a loan at a bank that I didn't pay off because I had a repo. I am trying to pay it off now, but I have bad credit and am trying to get back on my feet financially. Would it be possible for me to open a checking and savings account at another bank?

Certainly. Different banks have different criteria for a customer qualifications. It may be that they'll allow you to have only a savings account at first, maybe a checking account without overdraft protection, or some banks will allow you have all the deposit products they offer. Some banks will look at a credit bureau report just on your deposit accounts, and some will look at your borrowing history. If you don't get an account at one, go to another. You'll be able to open an account.
