How do I find the routing number for my local bank or credit union?
Look at a check, draft or deposit slip. At the bottom there is a group of nine digits. That is the routing number.
If you don't have any of these handy, you can call and your institution will be able to tell you what it is. It isn't confidential information. It is often necessary when sending money as this is the "address" for your bank in the financial payment system.
