Can my bank legally continue to take £28 a time for an 'unarranged borrowing fee' on my account? Each time I try to stay in the black, my bank continues to do this so I am always in the red.
Because this site is primarily concerned with banking in the U.S., we can only presume that the "unarranged borrowing fee" is the equivalent of our "overdraft fee," and is imposed when a depositor's check or other item exceeds the sum available in the account from which to pay it. Your bank should have disclosed the existence of the fee to you, and that the fee is permitted under the laws of your country.
Contact your bank and explaining your situation. The bank may offer you suggestions on how to proceed.
