Can I Sign on Accounts if on Medical Disability?

I'm on medical disability. My church wants me to be a signer on two of their checking accounts. Would this be a problem with the IRS? I am doing some volunteer work (typing letters, answering the phone, etc.).

There would be no reason that your signing on the church's accounts would have any affect on your status as a volunteer (unless the church paid you for those duties). It would be unrelated in any way to your disability.
