Can I cash a cashier's check at a bank without having an account there?
Based on what most bankers have said, you probably won't have much success unless you take the check to the bank that issued it.
There, be prepared to provide identification to meet the bank's requirements, and do not endorse it until you are certain that the bank will cash it with your ID.
