Paying for Cashier's Check from Joint Account

I need to send our mortgage company a cashier's check for $3000. My wife and I have a joint checking account. Do we both need to go to the bank to get the check?

Untitled

No. Each of you has the authority to withdraw all of the money in the account, unless you have a different agreement with the bank. It is common on personal account that each owner can do whatever he/she wants without the specific approval of the other owner(s), so you can easily ask for a withdrawal in the form of a cashier's check.
