Can I Designate the Remitter on a Bank Check?

If I go into my bank to purchase an Official Check (they do not offer cashier's checks), am I able to request the remitter on the check to be someone other than myself? The funds to purchase the check are coming from my account, but I want my husband to be shown as the remitter.

Although some banks will not agree, we do not believe that the purchaser and remitter of an official check must be the same person. The only way to know what your bank's policy is on the question is to ask. Do so by telephone in advance of your visit.
