I have an uncashed cashier's check that the company to whom it was written returned to me. It is a year and a half old. Can I get a refund for it?
You should be able to get a refund for it. All banks that issue cashier's checks have procedures for voiding unused checks and refunding the check amounts to the purchaser. You may be required to document that you purchased the check. Contact the issuing bank to determine how you need to proceed.
