Signature on Cashier/Official Checks

Is it required to have an actual name of an individual or is "Authorized by Financial Institution" a legitimate signature on cashier's or official checks?

A cashier's or other official bank check should be authenticated with a signature. That signature can be manual or it can be a facsimile applied under careful access controls.
