Cancelling a Banker's Draught

I recently bought a banker's draught from my local branch to present to a charity, but lost the check. Can the bank cancel the existing draught and re-issue another one? How do I go about getting them to do so?

Your use of the spelling "draught" and your email address indicate that you write from the United Kingdom. In most states of the U.S., there is a provision of the Uniform Commercial Code that would permit a purchaser to enter a claim for reimbursement for a lost cashier's or teller's check (our understanding of the British term "banker's draught"). Whether a similar provision for a reimbursement claim exists under British law is something about which you would need to contact the issuing bank in your country.
