Using Insurance Check to Pay Medical Bill

I received a check from my health insurance company. Can I sign the check over to my doctor for his fee or do I need to deposit it and write my own check?

If the doctor's office is willing to accept the endorsed check, there should be nothing preventing you from endorsing it over to the doctor to pay your bill. However, if you find it useful to keep a record of insurance reimbursements and medical payments, it might be preferable to run the check through your account.
